The local New Westminster Cinema is playing Hocus Pocus, and apparently, I was the only person available or interested in going, because there was nobody else in the theatre.

I’m a longtime Hocus Pocus fan. I always enjoyed how well it captured teenage angst. It tells the story of Max’s family moving from LA to Salem. The home of the 3 witches; the sanderson sisters. Max meets w/ this spooky history w/ a healthy dose of scepticism, dismissing the legends as “hocus pocus”. Many shennanigans ensue when Max lights the black flame candle that resurrects the Sanderson Sisters.
